Facebook Twitter Website Email LinkedIn Google Plus Bank of Canada Rate Announcement Yesterday the Bank of Canada announced the overnight lending rate would remain unchanged again at 1%.  It would seem that they are going to hold steady for a while longer. Again, this rate is instrumental in determining the rate set by the banks for variable rate mortgages and secured lines of credit.  The low rate is making the variable rate a very attractive option.
